Ask A Scientist

Here is an interesting website.

This is a community website. It deals with the subjects Science, Math, and Computer Science. Teachers and students can both this site to enhance their knowledge. They can ask any questions relating to the subject. A group of experts will then provide answers.

In here they have a section called the "Newton Teachers". Here they have teachers resources to help teachers get extra information, educational videos, science projects, field trip ideas, reference links, lesson plans etc.

There is also a section called "Newton Archive". All the questions asked by various students in the past have all been put together under various categories. The categories are Astronomy, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental and Earth Science, General Science Topics, Material Science, Mathematics , Molecular Biology, Physics,  Veterinary Science,  Weather, and Zoology.

If you have a question for which you do not find answers in the archives then you can ask the by moving into "Ask a question" section. But before this you need to know that there are certain rules and restrictions for asking questions. To know more about what these rules and restrictions are, they have provided a sections called "How to ask questions".  It would be a good idea to go through that section before asking any questions.

Of all the questions asked over a week they choose one and that question is post in a separate section called "Question of the Week". What are the questions that were selected as the "question of the week" in the past? You can find these also there.

This is a very useful website for students. Though this site caters to the needs of the teachers and students in the US, people from other countries can also use it as freely to gain knowledge. So use it and gain.
